End-of-year giving statements, generated not assembled
January should not cost the parish office a week. Track giving through the year and generate every parishioner's contribution statement when it is time.
Through the year
- Record giving per parishioner, against multiple funds
- General, building, missions — any funds your parish runs
- Pledges with a frequency: weekly, monthly, or annual
- Giving history on the parishioner record, next to everything else
At the end of it
Generate statements for the year — printable or emailable — without assembling them from a spreadsheet one household at a time. Because giving is recorded against the parishioner, and the parishioner belongs to a household, statements go out per family without anyone reconciling two systems first.
Plan availability
Giving records and statements are part of the Pro plan; kiosk check-in is on Enterprise. Donations are recorded by the parish office today — online giving, where parishioners give from their phone, is on the roadmap rather than something you can switch on now. Current pricing for every tier is listed on the home page.
Why January is usually so expensive
The statement itself is not the hard part. The hard part is that giving was recorded in one place, addresses in another, and household relationships in a third — so producing one statement per family means reconciling three sources by hand, for every family, once a year, under a deadline.
When giving is recorded against a parishioner who already belongs to a household with a current address, that reconciliation does not happen because there is nothing to reconcile. This is the main reason giving belongs in the same system as the parish census rather than in a dedicated giving tool alongside it.
What parishioners get
- A statement covering the year, per household rather than per person
- Totals broken out by fund, so a building-campaign gift is visible
- Delivery by email, or printed for the households that prefer paper
- Figures that match what the office sees, because they are the same records rather than a copy
Common questions
Can we email statements directly to parishioners?
Yes. Statements can be emailed or printed, and they use the contact details already on the parishioner record.
Does Bellringer handle multiple funds?
Yes. You can run as many funds as your parish needs and record giving against each.
